The receptionists are very nice and everyone seems like they're doing all they can to help you, but this is not the case. I asked five separate times to be sure the services I received were covered by my new insurance and every time they assured me that yes, all was covered minus a small copay. Then about a month after my appointment I received a bill for a few hundred dollars. I called my insurance company, who explained I did not have the coverage First Choice said I had and they would have told them my coverage if they had called and asked. So either First Choice didn't bother to check the insurance at all, or they blatantly lied to me about my coverage. When I called to discuss this problem, the associate who had been in charge of the financial information told me that when they told me my copay, that was just an estimate and I should have known it could be more. I explained to her that their estimate was several hundred dollars off and she did not have a response other than I would have to pay it. I then explained to her what my insurance company had told me, which meant she had deliberately misled me. She had to look at my chart and call me back, and when she did she explained the insurance company had told them the wrong information so they should not be responsible for that. I reiterated what I'd been told, again stating that it was misleading and dishonest, and then she said they would drop the charge this time, but in the future they wouldn't do it again. No kidding! In this future I won't go back again! I've now used my dental allotment for the year and the one filling they put in is already falling out. The routine checkup and x-rays were very painful and the work done wasn't good quality.
